One of the best things in Barcelona are, undoubtely, the non-stop cultural offers going on around the city. From last Friday until 28th we’re taken over by Mercè’s celebrations, the catalan capital’s major party. Everywhere you go there’s a stage, an artist, some kind of cultural manifestation - from a Primal Scream (free-gratis!) concert and a Richie Hawtin (free-gratis!) gig, to a couple of mimics or clowns playing around with unadvised tourists. Every single taste can be pleased.
Seems like despite all the polemic around “The Barcelona Effect”, the claimed cultural fakeness of this city, still the ayuntamiento cares about their people. And the best of it: the population take part in it.
