One of the best things in Barcelona are, undoubtely, the non-stop cultural offers going on around the city. From last Friday until 28th we’re taken over by Mercè’s celebrations, the catalan capital’s major party. Everywhere you go there’s a stage, an artist, some kind of cultural manifestation - from a Primal Scream (free-gratis!) concert and a Richie Hawtin (free-gratis!) gig, to a couple of mimics or clowns playing around with unadvised tourists. Every single taste can be pleased.
Seems like despite all the polemic around “The Barcelona Effect”, the claimed cultural fakeness of this city, still the ayuntamiento cares about their people. And the best of it: the population take part in it.
Yesterday, on the top of Montjuic…
- Denim pillows
- Good music, chilled out people
- Despite the name there weren’t any hamacas, but….
- “The world’s a better place when it’s upside down…”
- Bravo!!
- Jackson Pollock catalan?
“Quizás no hay nada mas que buscar
en la vida que estos sencillos momentos?”

Barcelona´s cultural spirit is undeniable. Despite all the good museums, Restaurants, Architecture… and the list goes on and on and on… Here is possible to face great initiative from the catalan authorities regarding the sense of providing FREE amazing activities. But nevertheless, a HUGE round of applause for the citizens and residents of this beautiful city that really participate and enjoy being part of such a rich cultural lifestyle.
Visca Barcelona!!!!
Probably this is the big secret of happiness… los momentos sencillos que nos regalamos a cada jornada… VISCA BARCELONA y todo lo bueno que nos da!!!
