Put People First March 30, 2009

On 28th March 2009, 35,000 marched through London as part of a global campaign to challenge the G20, ahead of their summit on the global financial crisis.

“Even before the banking collapse, the world suffered poverty, inequality and the threat of climate chaos. The world has followed a financial model that has created an economy fuelled by ever-increasing debt, both financial and environmental. Our future depends on creating an economy based on fair distribution of wealth, decent jobs for all and a low carbon future.”

Those are the words from WE PUT PEOPLE FIRST organization. It’s nice to see those movements coming from the youth that deals a world with more justice. We are sick of knowing everything about the banks manipulation and our position in world, and that we are responsibles about the construction of new politics for a better existence.

They also have a very nice platform with a full policy document and 12 recomendations to the UK Government, to present on G20.

Who? Paris Hilton vs Steve Angello
Where? Some busy club in Miami
When? Friday, 27
What? Paris asked Swedish dj Steve Angello to play Madonna. He said “no”. She asked to play hip-hop. “No” again. One of her security guards kicked Angello. Angello’s entourage responded with fists. Cue club brawl.

Yesterday’s message on Paris Hilton’s myspace profile:  ”I hate Steve Angello”

Today’s  Swedish House Mafia response:

Some words from our coolhunter in Barcelona, Alba Esteva, who have been to Holala! Plaza this week and selected the best pick for next European summer.

“I love BCN!
Yes, I love Barcelona.  I love its people, its streets, its nights… its shinny spring…
I’m proud to wear this T-shirt and announce around the world: I love my city!
If you love Barcelona too, you can find this fantastic T-shirt by 5sense in Holala!, Glintshop, Lobby…”

We Love Barcelona for Art and Vintage March 29, 2009

Holala! Plaza  is the name of the place… one of the coolest vintage places in Europe. In this nice store, hidden behind MACBA (Museu de Arte Contemporáneo), in the heart of Raval, Barcelona, you can find a nice mix of cool vintage clothes and furniture, art from great Catalan painters and well planned visual merchandising . If you are around, it’s a MUST for trendy shoppers.

Everyone’s talking about him. ”He’s a genious! He’s gorgeous! He’s in love! He’s wearing skirt! And Dr Marteens! And white shirt! He’s adopting a baby girl! No, a baby boy! ”  HE’S IN BRAZIL!!! Yes, HE’s around for the opening of a flagship store in São Paulo and, rumours have it, to meet his mother in law.  But…have you seen HIS condoms yet? From US$ 1,99 @ Ebay or in selected Marc Jacobs stores for US$ 1,50. Remember: safety first.

He, Marc Jacbos,  must be a nice guy. Look how he pays a fair homage to his employes of the moment

A lot cooler than a poster on the wall.
