The traditional hotel Berkeley, in Knightsbridge, London, offers a designer afternoon tea. The Prêt-à-Portea is inspired by the themes and colours of the fashion world. The menu is transformed every six months to follow the changing seasons in fashion.
Inspired by the Spring/Summer 2009 fashion collections, this season’s afternoon tea includes a Lavin duo of blueberry and passion fruit mousse with flowing bright yellow meringue, Alexander McQueen ‘Elvie’ chocolate truffle tote wrapped in mint flavoured marzipan, Christian Louboutin coconut cream sponge cake shoe topped with metallic frill, Oscar de la Renta black and white belted chocolate dress biscuit, a Michael Kors red and blue striped Regatta dress cake of rich Valrhona chocolate and much more.
Prêt-à- Portea takes place at the Caramel Room daily from 1pm to 6pm with prices going from £35 to £49. Fashionistas can also send fellow fashion fans set boxes of 10 biscuits for £25 including delivery to the South West 1 (SW1) London area.
