Our reader “Le Singe” sent us a very nice response to the post Video Game + Theater : “Speaking of the junction of art and video games check out the video this swiss artist made, it’s pretty awesome”. It’s the 5th video performance of the GAME OVER Project from the French-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond.

We checked, loved and published! Thanks Le Singe!

Electric Hotel September 9, 2010

Electric Hotel is a uniquely designed outdoor spectacle in London. We’ll let Time Out explain better: “A voyeuristic experiment in dance, theatre and sound, from Shunt director David Rosenberg and choreographer Frauke Requardt. The ‘Electric Hotel’ is a temporary structure behind King’s Cross station and in its rooms performers play out fantasies, dramas and domestic rituals, separated from the audience by floor-to-ceiling windows. The audience, meanwhile, don headphones to eavesdrop from outside. The result is a tightly orchestrated, Lynchian mystery, and while the concept takes precedence over the content, it is a damn clever concept. Dancers include Matthew Bourne regular Michela Meazza.” Let the pop up show begin!

"A playground for the imagination... the air crackles with excitement" METRO

"Electric Hotel proved intriguing... take a peak" EVENING STANDARD

Click HERE to watch a video of this amazing performance. (We couldn’t upload cos it’s Vimeo!)
