Tease is Lisbon’s rock and roll bakery. With a vintage-rocker-girlish-look that contrasts skulls with the pastel tones of the cupcakes, this is definitely one of the the coolest spots in the trendy neighbourhood of Bairro Alto. Cute and delicious.

Barcelona’s Boqueria market is an inspiration for a gastronomic weekend.

Have a yummy one.

Dalva & Dito May 24, 2010

Celebrity chef Alex Atala‘s regional restaurant Dalva & Dito in São Paulo is very Brazilian, delicious and not to be missed. His structured and architectonic version of classic dessert Romeu & Julieta (guava jam & cheese) is stunning and got me well impressed – so much so that I even made this little video to show every angle of this sweet construction:

Gastronomix March 28, 2010

Part of Festival de Curitiba since last year, Gastronomix is a very nice way that Curitiba’s #1 chef, Celso Freire, found to bring high gastronomy to the masses for only R$15 (US$7) a bowl. Some of the coolest chefs in Brazil, in the likes of Morena Leite from hype restaurant Capim Santo in São Paulo, landed in Parque Barigui to show what they’ve been cooking lately. The result is a cool atmosphere with a rustic-sophisticated twist.

If you want to experience Berlin as a true Berliner and get the most of this super trendy town, Taschen editors have published a guide to enjoy the best of the city. It’s 402 pages of recommended hotels, shops, restaurants, cafés, bars and, of course, nightclubs.

As always, very good pictures, the tastiest cuisine recommendations, the hippest, most intriguing stores, and the best accommodations are all listed. You also get a pocket-size map of the Berlin streets.

You can also find London, New York and Paris guides to a truly insider experience!

Heineken Experience November 30, 2009

Very well-aligned with global macrotrends such as experience, happiness and premium packaging, this “museum” (well, they don’t want to be called a museum, to begin with)  is a very cool way to offer a unique “Heineken Experience“. They’re focused on showing the art of drinking beer, teaching all about the legendary Heineken family in four levels of interactive experiences. The World Bar, Bottle Your Own Heineken, Heineken Sports, Gallery and Innovation Station are only some of the areas that you can visit. Here are some pics for your delight:

Don’t miss it on your next visit to A’dam! The Heineken Experience is at Stadhouderskade, 78.

In nome del pani September 30, 2009

Princi, the chic Milanese chain of boutique bakeries, chose London to open its first international outpost. The slickly designed bakery serves scrumptious baked goods such as its signature olive bread, alongside hot pasta dishes like spaghetti and lasagna, all of which can be taken away or eaten at a communal table.

Quick and Cool September 14, 2009

Quick Temaki is the place to go if you want to eat healthy. Cool design, they serve quick and light food made basicaly of rice and fish (the Japanese well known “Temaki”). It’s not only about Japanese food style, but about offering people something fresh and natural in the middle of the rush or after the party,  getting into a new concept of  “quick food” , not “fast food”.

So… very well adjusted to a quick life, in a natural style.
