Mamma mia! August 31, 2010

Italy’s sense of moral is quite “elastic”, let’s put this way. Above, on the cover of this month’s Vogue Italia,  Miranda Kerr appears considerably half naked and in 3D, photographed by Steven Meisel. Below, Julianne Moore’s pose for Bvlgari that was banned and forbidden in Venice because, according the mayor Giorgio Orsoni, it’s “innapropriate and too ‘spicy’”. Mamma mia!!

Do you remember MONOPOLY? It’s back everywhere and now SEPHORA figured out that it could be a nice marketing weapon with a lot of style!  GO TO JAIL for bad hair days, ADVANCE TO GO for winning a shopping spree, and pay for your products with Beauty Bucks. Buy, sell, and trade all the beauty-full products that make Sephora successful as you build your own Sephora empire. Isn’t it a nice way to be remembered all the time by kind teenagers and nostalgic adults?

Thanks, dear Bianca Gugelmin, for the cool information!

AMP Pocket Store August 16, 2010

Mini AMP Pocket Store is the new bet of a very nice Brazilian brand called A Mulher do Padre. Despite of its size (only 10 sq mt), the store was designed to give the sensation of amplitude, and it’s surrounded by a very cool non-sense communication that seems to be inspired on Sónar 2008. The collection brings some pieces that remind us a little bit of American Apparel style. Cool, it’s slowly arriving here!

From books to meat, modern vending machines are making a number of unexpected retail items available on-the-go. Now it’s time for vending machines on bars and clubs (but not only condoms and toothbrush). Most female clubbers will affirm that there’s nothing worse after a night on the dance floor than having to make the trek home in a pair of high heels.

As many cool stuff starts taking place in London, the Brits have a solution to this night dilemma with this latest entry to the footwear market – a cheap rollable ballet flat called Rollasole. Sold from vending machine installed in nightclubs the small shoes costs £5/$8 and includes a shiny bag to take the predatory high heels home. Now available in an array of metallic tints (gold, silver, pink and black). And, of course,  don’t bother saving coins: all of these machines accept plastic.

Originally set to hit the past European spring, Rollasole vending machines should be entering the American club scene soon. In the meantime, we expect they’ll serve as a welcome gift bag treat and a fun present for girls who’d rather stay home than go out without an extra few inches under foot.
