“FORGET EVERYTHING YOU’VE LEARNED AND BEGIN TO DREAM…”
Buenos Aires’ walls are full of messages of inspiration and protest.
This is SinK‘s message fot the weekend.
Turn on, tune in and drop out…
Colours and colours, strong and spread… following a lack of order that gives us the permission to dare.
Lucila Iotti, a shoe designer from Buenos Aires, mixed it all getting a very 7o’s result. Do you remember your mommy’s shoes, those that disappeared when you were a kid? Well… somehow they are back. Now you can find them at Lucila’s store, of course, at Palermo Soho, “la créme de la créme”.

And if colours are not on your feet, they can be on your face… just don’t forget this summer to embrace the hallucinogenic pattern. Orange, mint, pink and purple are our bet for the next collections.

Cupcakes are small cakes designed to serve one person, frequently baked in a small, thin paper cup. Popular in the US, Canada, Australia and Britain since 19th century, the little treats are becoming a gastronomy craze in Brazil. The vibrant colours and the creative (or personalised) design make them fun to be served in all kinds of events, from relaxed get-togethers to posh weddings. Love Cupcakes, in São Paulo, makes lovely ones. Take a glimpse at their Flickr page and fall in love too. They’re little pieces of art. In Buenos Aires, go to Palermo Cupcakery; in Curitiba, we recommend Pinky’s Cupcakes. Below, fashion cupcakes made by designer Lisa Edsalv and shot by photographer Therese Aldgard. Too pretty to eat but too yummy to pass away.

For the visual merchandising lovers. Below are nice examples of how to enhance the amplitude of your window displays. Just add a nice paint around it. The size? You decide!
The fashion group “Centro Treinta Y Cuatro” used their window display to share with people a new trend: PRECYCLE (an alternative for recycle) that means: “Think, before consume, about the residues it might generate”. Very nice and creative as everything that they do. You can find the store at Buenos Aires Palermo Soho but if you can not go there, at least take a look on their cool website.

Te Mataré Ramirez is the name of one of the coolest restaurants in Buenos Aires at the moment. Under an aphrodisiac concept, the restaurant, in Palermo Soho, is all decorated in red with erotic paintings hanging on the walls. Everything very discreet and cosy, nevertheless. The menu is a trip through several sexual positions, which also inspire the names of the dishes. Every day there is a different show. We saw the CABARET performance and it’s somehow similar to Natalie Portman’s performance on the movie Closer, but lighter and more adequate to a restaurant. Pictures are totally forbidden, but we took a few for you, kids… jejjee. Here they are!
And don’t forget to make a reservation a couple of days before if you intend to go! + 54 11 4831-9156
