A cena cultural de Curitiba está em constante desenvolvimento. Várias peças com entrada franca têm sido exibidas em diversos teatros da cidade. O Cleon Jacques, no parque São Lourenço, apresenta até o dia 27 de fevereiro o espetáculo de dança contemporânea Não Olhes para Trás. Bailarinos de primeiríssima, com uma trilha sonora moderna e tocante. Imperdível!

It’s a small world September 27, 2010
Bienal Brasileira de Design 2010, happening at the moment here in Curitiba, has a very nice Dannish exhibition called “It’s a Small World”, which discusses global issues such as sustainability, new technologies and consumption.
The intention is to discuss these question by presenting the production of a country with a long tradition in design, now quite worried and conscious finding creative solutions to environmental problems. The exhibition premiered in Copenhagen in 2009, went to Shanghai and now arrives in Brazil. In addition to the known tradition on furniture, it holds within the same space design, craftsmanship and architecture and aims to reveal a nation that wishes to make the design not only a cultural matter, but a crucial item on the socioeconomic agenda.

Crosswalk art September 23, 2010
Here in Curitiba we believe that the arts can change the world and people’s behaviour. Curitiba’s Cultural Foundation started last weekend the project Arte na faixa, an action to give artistic support for urban art applied to crosswalks, engaging people in a cause that they don’t put much attention on. Twenty crosswalks painted by 20 different local artists – and the result is an urban art exhibition designed to call people’s attention to the importance of crossing the streets correctly. On the website you can watch videos and leave your comments. There we go… COOLritiba!!!
