Retro & vintage are definitely one of the top trends these days.  The main reason, apparently, is because people want to remember a moment/ an object/ a memory they cherish, they want to get back to a safe place, where they know things, and, mostly, know how things work. It’s a sign of the hectic and chaotic world we’re living in. It’s a result of the crazy volume of information we’re exposed to on a daily basis.

.

Another (beautiful) sign of it, is a new edition of the historic table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1969, Dalù has updated colours and finishes (thermoplastic moulded body, in transparent orange and red, white and black) retaining its unmistakable original design and expressing the spirit of our times. …

Naoto Fukasawa is a Japanese designer whose philosophy is “making people happy through industrial products”. Although he’s not a well known name (till now) in other countries, Fukasawa is by far the most famous — and influential — product designer in his native Japan. We truly believe in a very, very good idea from Fukasawa. He designed texturized juice packaging that gives you the sensation of touching the real fruit. Isn’t it fun, cute and designed to make people happy? Sometimes, the obvious comes only from one single guy!

Have a blue christmas December 22, 2009

BLUE is the hot colour for decorations this Christmas. Icy blue is everywhere complementing the other key Christmas trend of glamorous wonderland. Andy Berrington, display manager at Harvey Nichols agrees that the most fashionable colours this Christmas are white, blue, yellow and regal purple.

So, why not forget the red and set a pretty blue table decorated with crystals and fake snow?  Inspire!

Pentax cameras are perhaps most heralded for being championed by Vietnam vets after surviving rough weather and the heat of battle, and we’re pretty sure those legends of indestructibility will make  the K-x Series a must-have among nightlife photographers. There are the 100 different styles: 10 color options for the bodies and grips, which can be mixed and matched to your heart’s delight. Whether or not you opt to match your favorite outfit is up to you. The K-x also boasts a nice 12.4 megapixels and HD video, which are fast becoming industry norms for SLRs. Now, all those girls in vintage high-waisted skirts with cameras dangling from their necks can accessorize beyond black and steel. We want it NOW!!!
