And talking about magazines and September issues, we recommend that you take a look at Pacha Magazine, one of SinK‘s all time favourite publications. This month with one of the greatest party-girls of all times, the one and only Naomi Campbell. The mag can be found in every store or restaurant owned by Pacha in Ibiza, which means pretty much every corner of the island. It’s free. However, if you’re not lucky enough to be  on the isle, click HERE and read it online. Quality content, high standard photos, interviews with djs and everyone talking about why they love the island that everyone loves. Super chulo! No te lo pierdas, eh?

SinK TV: Inside Café Mambo August 11, 2009

A quick tour inside legendary Café Mambo, in Ibiza’s Sunset Strip. The year is 2006, last summer before that awful wood deck, linking Mambo, Cafe Del Mar and Savannah, was built over the rocks.

Ibiza 2009: the afterparties. All aboard? July 27, 2009

Since the afterparties were totally banned from the island last summer, Ibiza party people came up with a brilliant idea: throwing the post clubbing rendez-vous on a boat sailing in the sea. Every morning lots of embarkations leave San Antoni harbour towards somewhere peaceful in the Mediterranean where they can dance and celebrate without being bothered. Local and top djs line up to play and the cool thing is to rent a boat with your mates, your captain and your deejay and do your own private thing.

The only question is: what if you want to go home? Erm… maybe it’s not even a valid question…

Divina de la muerte July 25, 2009

Mientras tanto, en un lavabo unisex de un bar en la playa de Barceloneta, la chica, histerica, pondera:

divina

Hoy me he levantado, de guapo subido. Llama a John Galliano, que me haga un vestido. Zapatos de Dior, medias de Moschino, y para esta noche, quiero un Valentino…”

Fluo is the new black (pt. 1) July 23, 2009

SinK‘s back from an European summer tour loaded with pictures and news about what’s HOT and what’s NOT at the old continent. You’re the lucky ones because we got LOTS, LOTS and LOTS of cool stuff . And we’re desperate to share, kids.

To kick off, let’s talk about fashion.

The hottest trend for this summer  is undoubtely the FLUO thing. Looking back at the ravers from the 80′s, cheering up  this dull momentum, the bright colours are the face of the sunny season.

Everything is fluo, every shop is selling fluo, everyone’s wearing at least one single piece of glowing stuff. It’s cool, it’s fun, it’s irreverent. Dare to wear!

Photos: SinK with ninja skills. Or you think it’s easy (or legal) to take photos in Topshop or American Apparel, hum?

Coolhunting @ The Brandery July 10, 2009

After the infamous BBB of fashion business went from Bread & Butter Barcelona to Bread & Butter Berlin, Gaudí’s city came up with its own thing. The Brandery is an initiative of Fira Barcelona in association with fashion designers, brands, media professionals, etc. The first edition took place from 7th until today, 9th, three days of pouring rain in the Catalan capital city.

Besides the fair, the lectures going on at the beautiful Mies Van Der Rohe pavillion were definitely a highlight. SinK was invited by Daniel Cordoba-Mendiola to join his presentation about a subject we love: coolhunting and trends investigation. Our thang! Time was short, which left us willing for more. Happily, he has just published a book, Coolhunting- Como Descubrir y Cazar Tendencias. Are you a coolhunter-wannabe? That’s a good start. This bloke knows it all.

And we finally manage to meet our (former) virtual mates from tendencias.tv! Big up to lovely Francesca and Xavier!

And Fun for Kids! July 1, 2009

And Grace Jones, 60, is triumphantly back. Main attraction of Sónar Night (pics below), one of the headliners at We Love Space in Ibiza this summer. But… has she ever gone away?

Feliç Sant Jordi! April 23, 2009

Today , 23rd April, Catalunya celebrates its very own “Valentine’s Day”, the Sant Jordi day. It’s when men give women a rose, and girls give boys a book… and the streets are taken over with flowers and papers and smiles and kisses. The flower, however, is not given only to one’s partner: it’s to any women he admires. It’s a huge celebration and the meaning could not be less delicate. We pay our homage to Barcelona, the Catalan capital city, a place which holds a very particular culture, that we learned to respect, celebrate and admire. Wanna know Sant Jordi’s legend and the reason why they exchange books and roses? Click HERE and check the “tutorial” made by our cool Catalan amic, Marc Muntanyola. These images are from last year’s Sant Jordi.
