“Secretsundaze has changed the face of daytime clubbing.”
(Time Out)
Over its six-year history secretsundaze has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative, exciting and fun places to be for house and techno heads and party people alike. Utilising numerous risqué and often open-air venues, they have hosted some of the most colourful parties that London has seen in recent years. With their stylish, hedonistic crowd and their attention to detail on the production side, the parties now have the reputation as being the place that Europe’s finest underground DJs want to play at and Europeans visiting London have to go to. Over the years, the likes of Ame, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Tobi Neumann, Trevor Jackson, Luciano, Dan Ghenacia and Steve Bug have all graced the decks.
Next party on 24th May, next Sunday, at the Ministry of Sound courtyard (2-10pm) and, later on (10pm-4am), at the Coronet Theatre. Secretsundaze opening party photos above by Dan Hill and fans from their Facebook group page.
Former duo at the infamous (and nervous) party La Troya on Wednesdays nights at Space, Catalan DJ Oliver and Italian performer Baby Marcelo now join forces for a new adventure on our beloved white isle. The Face of Ibiza hits the world’s biggest club, Privilege, every Saturday from 20th June. Very likely to be this summer’s craze. Good luck, chicos!
SinK wants to know: what’s the FACE OF IBIZA for you?
It started with an inspiring moon turning the sea into a silver bay. Then, there were the bunnies (lovely, lovely) giving away chocolate eggs with friendly wishes of Happy Easter at the entrance… and it was almost possible to hold the feeling with our hands. You know when you feel it’s gonna be good? I’ve seen Sasha’s gigs before and never really got caught up by his music. Now, I’m friends with Sasha, the Welsh. What he made was pure alchemy, never seen or heard anything similar. Mild music, even mellow at the end, beautiful. There’s something about that guy. And we all agreed at the end, after a 7-hour incredible set: He’s just NOT a regular bloke – even though, as pretty much every dj who plays at Warung, he also didn’t want to go… His manager: “Man, you just have to. Even if I need to carry you, you are taking the flight.” And so he quietly did, with those mysterious and tired eyes – those, which are definitely not a mirror to that soul.

Daft Punk’s “Around the World” Coffee Table, by Habitat:
And how about making your very own version of “Harder Better Faster Stronger”? http://www.najle.com/idaft/. Our lovely mate Zora sent the link saying it’s “uma delícia”. We totally agree.
PRECAUTION: Please, make sure to have your headphones on, kid.
How cool it is to have friends-djs who send you mixes every now and again. And the best part’s that they know your taste…

Rod Maya, good fella from Rio, lives in Ibiza… INSIDE Dalt Villa. Great personality, excellent music taste, he gave up minimal - thanks God! – and is back to our house – where he shouldn’t have left even for 5 minutes. If you like it, drop him a message saying: “I want the tree in the middle of the street.” He’ll get it. And you, my friend, you may get another great one. One of SinK’s favourite!
Give it a go:

Going slightly deeper underground – maybe due to his paulistas roots – another wicked mix by also Brazilian, either a good mate, Rodrigo Brinko. As the first Rod, he spends half year on the white isle, half year in Brasil playing around during the summer. With perfect technic – Brinko’s a natural – he hosts a show on Ibiza Global Radio every weekend, and you can listen online . Not yet Saturday night? Stop biting your nails. Keep it up, guys! x
Remember that one that goes: “It’s murder on the dancefloor, but you better not kill the groove”? At the point where I though there was absolutely no turning back to my party girl spirit, that it had been killed, suffocated with traces of cruelty, by crap dancefloor music, there they came… along with a new movement of fresh and soft beats… they’re Todd Terje, Prins Thomas,Lindstrom, secretsundaze, Tobi Neumann, Hercules and Love Affair, Cut Copy, âme.
With the rise of nu disco, space rave, balearic and all those new and weird names to call the development of deep (house) music in 2008, Sink would like to proudly present to our lovely and smart readers one of the tunes we’re addicted to – of course, introduce just in case you still don’t know.
Ladies & gentlemen: NOW TIL 69, by Aeroplane:
We’re happy. They brought our hopes back and our hands up in the air again.
(we’ll post the lyrics as soon as we get them, ’cause we know you’ll have the urge to sing out loud after the 3rd time lol)
Oh, and try this one as well:
“The kitsch, pop sensibilities of Belgium DJ duo Aeroplane perfectly summed up the sunnier breeze that blew threw electronic music during 2008. Aeroplane are our top nu disco artists of 2008. “
